The GPS-INS-STAR h y b r i d n a v i g a t i o n s y s t e m shows t h e a d v a n t a g e o u s f e a t u r e s in t h e p o i n t o f b o t h the p o s i t i o n estimation and the a t t i t u d e estimation. It i n d i c a t e s t h a t the experiment p r o v e s the c o m p l e t e n e s s of the GPS-INS-STAR hybrid navigation system.
INTRODUCTION In the 1990's. various kinds of platform type spacecrafts (such as ADvanced Earth Observing Satcl 1 ite:ADEOS. Space Technology & Experiment Platform:STEP. ) are planned for earth observa tion and science experiments. These low orbit spacecrafts' operation requires continuous and high data rate communication service system, so the Data Relay Tracking Satellite System (DRTSS) is also planned. The DRTSS will provide a data relay serv ice between user spacecrafts and ground terminals.
The test and simulation results are summarized in table 1. The difference of maximum constraint force is due to the effect of high frequency modes. In the simulation. 1st bending and torsion modes are only used. But stepping motor's response has high frequency vibration, it is resonant with higher mode of structures. Nevertheless, both of them keep an acceptable level, so the mathematical model of APM is estab lished. Fig. 12.
